Who
do I ask for help?
|
Your
tutor group teacher will be able to answer most of your questions.
In B Block, we have other people you can go to for help such
as course counsellors, a social worker and tutors in literacy
and numeracy. |
|
How
do I get my books and stationery?
|
Books
and stationery will be available for collection or ordering
on all enrolment days and from the College Bookshop, once
classes resume. Email the bookshop stories@stories.net.au
for further information. |

What
happens on the first day?

Year
11 students start on Thursday, 12 February 2009 and meet in
the Student Common Room at 9:00am. You will be shown how your
timetable works, how you get a locker, how to get your own
email and Internet address, how the library operates and get
your bus pass. Year 12 students start on Friday, 13 February

|
Do
I have to attend all classes?
|
Yes.
Subject teachers check attendance at every lesson. Absences
are listed as 'unexplained' (and this could affect your Youth
Allowance) unless you hand in to the General Office a doctor's
certificate, appointment card or a note from your parents.
Attendance reports are mailed to parents regularly and tutor
group teachers telephone parents about unexplained absences.
Parents should telephone the College if they have concerns.
|
|
How
do I find out about my progress?
|
You
get a full subject report twice a year. After reports are
issued, there is a Parent/Teacher night. Your parents can
also telephone the College about your progress. |
|
Where
will I live if I am a country student?
|
The College manages some accommodation for country students. Please note that this accommodation
is limited. You will need to contact our Social Worker, Alex Hicks, early to discuss options.
Breakfast Program – The College runs a breakfast program for students who have to leave home early to get to College. |
