– Max Cross was an award winner in the Exciting New Educator
Category. |
2006 Learning Together Award - Rob Torok was acknowledged for his innovative
teaching of Information and Communication Technology and Robotics. |
Auntie Eva Richardson received two Tasmanian Awards for Humanitarian Activities– both individually and for her work as part of the Glenorchy Reconciliation Group. |
| Constable Dean Walker won the Tasmanian Crime Prevention and Community Safety Award at a ceremony at Parliament House presided over by Commissioner McCreadie and the Minister for Police, the Hon. David Llewellyn. |
| Jane Dobson received three awards from the University of Tasmania as the result of her work during her Bachelor of Teaching course. The awards were: the Education Maths award, the Education Science award, and the Walter Right Memorial Award. |

Also
in 2005, College teacher, Jim Ransom, received an Australian College of
Education Award for being An Outstanding New Educator.

Ransom receives his award for being an Outstanding New Educator
from the Governor of Tasmania, the Hon William Cox. |
|
Jim
was recognised for his skill, dedication and enthusiasm in the areas
of Vocational Education and Training, Aboriginal Education and Pastoral
Care. The award was presented by the Governor, The Hon. William
Cox. Jim also received his Bachelor of Education the same weekend.
Jim started teaching here in VET Construction after running a bricklaying
business. He has subsequently completed a Bachelor of Vocational
Education and a Bachelor of Education part-time.
